  • Enjoy a leisurely breakfast with a wonderful view before setting off across private land.

  • Travel off road through private tracks across the tussock clad mountains following the river and view the glaciers that feed it.

  • Negotiate a narrow track and steep slope and follow a stream (with or without water) to its source

  • Optional climb to the top of “Edoras” ( reasonable fitness required- time and weather permitting)
  • Weather permitting view the glaciers of The Garden of Eden and the strange shapes of the equally strangely named “Jumped Up Downs”
  • Leave the mountains through another gorge
  • Visit an old thatched Pioneer’s Cottage for afternoon tea
  • View a quaint old village shop/museum
  • Meet the extinct Moa Bird!

Departs Christchurch and includes pick up/return (Approx 9am - 5.30pm)

Prices:
Two Days: $1355 (including GST) per person (12 years and under half price)
(Based on a minimum fare of 2 adults)

  • Includes morning and afternoon tea and a delicious Kiwi style picnic lunch on both days
  • Bed & breakfast and evening meal
  • Use of all facilities at the accommodation
